Country House Il Tiglio
Our country house is in the province of Ancona, in the Marche region. We are close to the city walls of the small and enchanting historic center of Mergo, in an atmosphere of art, history and nature, full of food and wine trails, open cellars, mountain biking and hiking trails. It is a country house of the late '800 recently restored respecting the characteristics of the Marche farmhouse consisting of fully equipped and autonomous apartments. At guests' disposal there are also a barbecue area and an outdoor swimming pool. Near the farm you can visit the Abbey of Sant'Elena and the Abbey of Santa Maria delle Moie, truly unforgettable places.

The farm is surrounded by the green hills of the Marche region and is ideal for relaxing holidays with the possibility of pleasant walks and mountain biking. Guests have access to a comfortable outdoor swimming pool which offers a beautiful landscape. For lovers of horse riding, the nearest riding school is in Jesi, about 20 km. Our country house is also an ideal place for animal lovers who, by prior arrangement, are allowed inside the structure. Nearby you can enjoy the convenience of shops, supermarkets, swimming pool, gym and tennis court.

Restaurant Service
In the summer of 2014, our country house inaugurated a new refreshment and tasting center. A rustic and elegant at the same time, where you can taste typical dishes of the area in harmony with the season and the Marche tradition and beyond. We also offer a takeaway service for guests of the country house for all those who want to enjoy dishes prepared with zero-km food. The menu changes daily depending on the seasonality and the imagination of the chefs.

Surroundings
The farm is a 20-minute drive from the beautiful beach of Senigallia, half an hour from Ancona and the beautiful Riviera del Conero, 10 minutes from the mountain resorts with large picnic areas in the chain of Monte San Vicino and on the hills of Valle Esina. You can visit the famous Frasassi Caves which are 10 minutes away from the farmhouse and other important places rich in art and history such as Jesi, Maiolati, the city of Fabriano's paper with the oldest paper museum in Europe. Throughout the area you can visit religious architectural structures in Romanesque style such as the Abbey of San Vittore delle Chiuse, the Abbey of Sant'Elena, the Abbey of Santa Maria delle Moie located in Moie di Maiolati and many others. Another important historical and artistic place belongs to the village of Serra San Quirico, 3 km away from the farmhouse. With an hour's drive you can easily reach the cities of San Marino, Rimini, Loreto, Gubbio and Assisi.

Apartments
The structure has 7 apartments for a total capacity of 22 beds. Two of these homes are also suitable for the disabled people for a total of 4 beds. Each apartment has a kitchenette and the gazebo, in the center of the beautiful and spacious courtyard, is ideal for outdoor breakfasts and to fully enjoy the beautiful landscape. The houses have heating and fans, television and minibar, while internet and telephone are available in the ground floor hall. The garden that surrounds the entire building has barbecue facilities, ideal for enjoying dinners or lunches comfortably seated at the courtyard tables.
